Products are also marketed through Public Distribution System (PDS). And we are the major supplier of Amma Salt in Tamilnadu.
History
VKS Foods started trading salt from the year 2000 to African and Middle Eastern countries. In 2006, we set up our own salt refinery at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu with a capacity of 16000 MT per month and now scaled up to 16,000 MT per month. Trusalt annual production to scale to 2 Lack MT. VKS Group as a business entity commenced its activity in 2000 with Export of Table Salt and Eggs. Over the next decade the Company achieved heights in terms of Exports of these two products and other Food related products including Poultry products. The heightened export performance saw development of loyal export clientele.

Plant
VKS Foods plant uses state of the art functional and reliable range of Automatic Pouch Packaging Machines used for salt pouch packing in different range of weights. The plant manufactures refined free flow iodized, non-iodized salt and crystal salt. The raw salt is procured from well-maintained salt pans in Tuticorin through a strong procurement programme. Trusalt is treated and packed at the most hygienic state-of-art and sophisticated salt refinery. Trusalt has gained prominence as a renowned salt brand in India. Besides this, we also serve a variety of export and local market requirements.
